How is it like?

How is it like?

Having a stoma saves lives and for a good portion of the people the post surgery and the procedure itself are smooth and easy.

Unfortunately, people with additional disabilities, advanced age or going throw chemotherapy have a harder time managing a stoma and often need the help of a family member or a carer.

A a result, anxiety, depression, isolation and body dysmorphia tend to be common mental health side effects of the condition*.

That's a really good idea! (…) when recovering from surgery and major complications it would've been brilliant.

I have a ileostomy and also a bad neck so find it very hard to look down for changes etc. Would also be helpful when needing to catheter. I’d definitely buy one!

I think this is a great idea, especially for people with awkward positioned stomas, but also for those with additional accessibility needs.

“A very useful idea, because the main problem is precisely not being able to see clearly, and in this case precision is essential!”
